These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Diboru Android app, its Wear OS companion and this website. By using Diboru you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Diboru is provided by BFA Inc., Jyväskylä, 40700, Finland (“we”, “us”). Contact: admin@diboru.app.
2. Who can use Diboru
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are below the age of digital consent in your country (between 13 and 16 in the EU), you need permission from a parent or guardian. You can use Diboru without an account (guest mode) or create one with Google or with email and password.
3. Not medical advice
Diboru is a wellness app. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and cycle predictions are estimates. Do not use Diboru for contraception or to plan or avoid pregnancy. Always talk to a qualified health professional about medical questions, and call your local emergency number in an emergency. Heart-rate, sleep and step data from your watch or Health Connect may be incomplete or inaccurate.
4. Your account
Keep your sign-in details safe and give accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account. In guest mode your data exists only on your device; if you lose or reset the device or uninstall the app, it can’t be recovered. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Account & sign-in → Delete account) or as described on our account deletion page.
5. Free features
Logging, the cycle calendar and predictions, basic stats, journeys and badges are free, without ads. We may improve, change or add features over time.
6. Diboru Plus subscriptions
- Billing through Google Play. Diboru Plus is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Google Play, using your Google account’s payment method. Google Play’s terms also apply to your purchase.
- Price. Base prices are €1.99 per month and €12.99 per year. Your price is shown in Google Play in your local currency before you buy and may differ by country, including applicable taxes.
- Free trial. New subscribers may be offered a 7-day free trial of the yearly plan. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged at the price shown.
- Student offer. Verified students may get the yearly plan free for the first 2 months, then it renews at the regular yearly price. One student offer per account; we may verify eligibility and withdraw the offer if it was obtained improperly.
- Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. You can cancel anytime in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Diboru) or via “Manage subscription” in the app. Plus stays active until the end of the paid period. Deleting your Diboru account or uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Price changes. If the price changes, Google Play will notify you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled under Google Play’s refund policies. You can also contact us at admin@diboru.app and we will review your request in good faith.
- Your statutory rights. If you are a consumer in the EU, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases. When you start a subscription or trial, you ask for the service to begin immediately; if you withdraw within 14 days you may have to pay for the part already provided, as allowed by law. Nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory consumer rights.
7. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse Diboru: don’t break the law, attempt to access other people’s accounts or data, interfere with or reverse-engineer the service beyond what the law allows, or use it to harass anyone. When sharing features (moments, Cheers, profiles) launch, you must only share content you have the right to share and that respects others.
8. Your content
Your data and content remain yours. We only process them to provide Diboru, as described in the Privacy Policy. If future sharing features let you show content to others, you give us a limited permission to store and display it to the people you choose, for as long as you keep it shared.
9. Third-party services
Diboru works with services from others, including Google Play, Firebase Authentication, Health Connect and OpenFreeMap maps based on OpenStreetMap data (© OpenStreetMap contributors). Their own terms apply to them, and we are not responsible for their availability.
10. Intellectual property
The Diboru name, logo, design, illustrations, animations and software belong to us or our licensors. Open-source components are used under their licences, listed in the app. You may not copy or redistribute the app except as the law allows.
11. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Diboru running, but it is provided “as is” and may sometimes be unavailable or change. We may update these Terms; we’ll show the new date here and tell you in the app about significant changes before they take effect. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Diboru and delete your account.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made based on predictions or estimates in the app. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as for intent, gross negligence, or your rights under mandatory consumer law.
13. Ending
You can stop using Diboru at any time. We may suspend or end access for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms, and will tell you why where we can.
14. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and can bring claims in your local courts. Consumers in Finland can also take disputes to the Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta) after contacting the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority’s consumer advice. Please contact us first — most things can be solved quickly.
